Aviation recruiting: how I find EASA Part 21 candidates
Aviation recruiting differs fundamentally from classic tech recruiting: the profiles in demand are engineers with proven certification know-how – such as EASA Part 21 or CS-23 – and they exist in small numbers only. Anyone looking for aviation development candidates must know where they work, which certification programmes they have supported and what motivates them to change employers.
In my candidate search for an aviation design organisation, I screened international EASA Part 21 candidates and conducted interviews – 10 to 15 profiles per search mandate. Alongside technical depth in design and certification, I assessed relocation readiness, language level, salary expectations and motivation. The result: shortlists that hold up both technically and personally.
Today I bring this experience to companies looking for aviation design and certification engineers: from defining the target profile through international outreach to structured interviews. The outcome is reliable candidate profiles instead of long applicant lists.
